AI Upload Booster is designed with privacy as a core principle. To comply with Google Web Store policies, we explicitly state that our extension:

• Does NOT collect personally identifiable information (PII) like names or email addresses (unless voluntarily provided for the Pro Waitlist).
• Does NOT collect or access the contents of the images, PDFs, or documents you process.
• Does NOT track your personal browsing history or off-platform activity.

2. Data Handling and Processing

How your data is handled when using the extension:

• Local Processing Only: All merging and processing logic for your files is executed locally within your browser environment.
• No External File Transmission: Your actual files are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party processing services.
• AI Platform Injection: Files are prepared locally and injected directly into the active AI chat platform you are currently using.

3. Data Storage

Our data storage practices are strictly local for your files:

• No Server File Storage: Because files never leave your device, we do not store your documents on any cloud servers.
• Temporary Memory: Processed files are held only in your browser's temporary memory (RAM) and are cleared once the task is complete.
• Local UI Preferences: The extension stores simple local settings (like widget visibility) on your device.

4. Analytics and Usage Data

To improve the extension and monitor for technical issues, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage metrics. This includes:

• Engagement Events: When the extension is opened, when a merge is initiated, and when a merge is successfully completed.
• Performance Metrics: Processing time (ms), file size categories (MB), and success/failure rates to detect crashes or bugs.
• Retention Data: Whether a user is a new or returning visitor (DAU monitoring).
• Feature Validation: Interactions with the "Feedback" button and "Waitlist" interest clicks.

Note: None of these metrics contain the content of your files or your personal identity.

5. Waitlist and Communication

If you choose to join our Pro Waitlist, we collect the email address you provide solely for the purpose of notifying you about Pro features. This data is kept separate from usage analytics and is never sold to third parties.

6. Permissions Explanation

• activeTab: To detect which AI platform you're using and inject merged files.
• storage: To remember your widget preferences locally.
• scripting: To interact with the AI platform's file upload interface.
• Host permissions: Limited strictly to supported AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.).

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share, sell, or disclose any user data to advertisers.
• Service Providers: Anonymized technical events are processed via Google Analytics to help us maintain app stability.

8. Children's Privacy

The extension does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since no personal data is required to use the core tool, it is safe for all age groups.
