• When you select images, PDFs, or Word documents, they are processed locally using JavaScript
• Files are merged into a single optimized file in your browser's memory
• The merged file is then injected into the AI chat platform you're using
• No data ever leaves your device except when you choose to upload to the AI platform

3. Local Storage

The extension stores only one piece of non-sensitive data locally:

• Widget visibility preference: A simple true/false value indicating whether the floating widget button should be displayed
• This setting contains no personal information and can be cleared at any time by removing the extension

4. Permissions Explanation

The extension requests the following permissions solely for its core functionality:

• activeTab: To detect which AI platform you're currently using and inject merged files
• storage: To remember your widget visibility preference
• scripting: To interact with the AI platform's file upload interface
• Host permissions: Limited to specific AI chat platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, Grok) where the extension functions

5. Third-Party Services

AI Upload Booster does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The extension operates entirely offline within your browser.

6. Data Security

Since no data is collected or transmitted:

• There are no servers that could be compromised
• There are no databases storing user information
• Your files remain private and under your complete control

7. Children's Privacy

The extension does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data collection occurs, the extension is safe for all age groups.
